Stollery
Children's Hospital Foundation®

Thanks to the Stollery, Kali was able to experience the second
half of her chemotherapy treatments in a more comfortable
environment.
The Stollery cares primarily for children living in Northern
Alberta and parts of Western Canada. The hospital is decorated in
fun colours and themes to make a child feel at home. There is a bed
in every room for a parent to sleep overnight, and a television to
make the stay more comfortable. Research, medical teams and
equipment make this state of the art hospital the best place for a
sick child to be. Part of the money raised at Hair Massacure helps
fund the Stollery's pediatric oncology programs.

Make-a-Wish® Northern Alberta

Thanks to Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta, Kali was able to "pet a
black and white dolphin" (her wish included a visit to SeaWorld
where she was able to pet Shamu). Read about Kali's wish.
A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic,
more willing and able to battle their life-threatening medical
conditions. For many of them, it marks a turning point in their
fight against their illnesses. Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta has one
goal in the granting of each wish - to bring hope, strength and joy
to a child with a life-threatening medical condition.
In 2011 Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta will grant 75 wishes to
children in our community.

Ronald McDonald House® Northern Alberta

The Ronald McDonald House Foundation of Northern Alberta
provides a temporary home-away-from-home for families of children
with a critical illness who travel to Edmonton for medical
treatment, thereby giving those families a place that offers
comfort, compassion, and support during their time of crisis.
