REGISTRATION HELP

To register as an individual, and join an existing team:

  • Choose Register/Login
  • Choose Register
  • Choose Individual
  • Fill in your personal details
  • You will be asked to register as either a Proud Victim or as a Fundraiser:
  • A Proud Victim not only supports the event by raising money, they also sacrifice their hair by shaving or donating it.
  • A Fundraiser supports the event by raising money, but does not experience any hair loss.
  • Read and accept the terms and conditions. If you are registering a youth, parental consent and information will be required.
  • You may choose to Join a Team at this point. Click the link, and search for the team you wish to join. When you've found it, click the team name, and click Join.
  • Now click Set up your Fundraising Page. You will have the option to add a personal goal, upload a photo of yourself (4 MG or smaller), and write your own personal message. Click save to leave the page. If you have not uploaded a photo of yourself, or your team, the Hair Massacure logo will appear.
  • If you wish to use our email marketing or Facebook tools, click Edit your Fundraising page, and follow the instructions on the page.

To join a team if you have already registered as an individual:

  • Choose Register/Login
  • Use the Login information you supplied to access your account.
  • Click Join Team
  • Find the team you would like to join, and click on their name, then click Join Team.

To form a new team:

  • Choose Register/Login
  • Choose Register
  • Choose Team
  • Search the name you'd like to have for your team, to make sure it isn't already taken. If it is available, click Create Team.
  • Complete all the required fields. You will be asked to choose a team name, and a Captain. The Captain enters their personal information - but they may or may not be a participant. If the Captain is also a participant, make sure to register as an individual and add yourself to the team.
  • Now click Set up your Team Fundraising Page. You will have the option to add a personal goal, upload a photo of your team (4 MG or smaller), and write your own personal message. Click save to leave the page. If you have not uploaded a photo of yourself, or your team, the Hair Massacure logo will appear.

To add or change the photo, goal, or message:

  • Choose Register/Login
  • Use the Login information you supplied to access your account.
  • Under your name, choose Edit your Fundraising Page
  • Edit your information and click on save
  • To add a photo, choose Browse, select the photo you wish to use, then choose save before leaving the page. Please note photos need to be 4MG or less in size.

To add cash and cheque donations to your profile:

  • The purpose of adding your cash and cheque donations to your site is to watch your thermometer grow, and keeping a more accurate representation of your total fundraising efforts. You are not required to add them to your site. However, because the online system no longer requires you to enter donor information, your pledge sheets are even more important and must be legible when you turn them in.
  • Choose Register/Login
  • Use the Login information you supplied to access your account.
  • Click "Edit Your Fundraising Page". Under your fundraising target, you will find a field for "Cash/Cheques Collected".
  • All you need to do is enter the total amount you have collected.
  • Remember to click SAVE. This amount will not be accompanied by any messages, and will not be listed in your donation list, but will change your "Total Raised" and Fundometer. If you wish to enter another amount at a later date, you will repeat the login process and change the total in the "Cash/Cheques Collected" field. You must enter the grand total, not just the new amount.

DONATION HELP

To pledge someone who is participating:

  • Choose Donate Now
  • Choose Pledge a Participant (on the left).
  • Using the search feature, find the individual you would like to support and click on their name.
  • Once you are on the individual's page, click on Donate to make a donation using your credit card
  • Fill out the necessary fields. Please do not use symbols (like the dollar sign). Remember to add a message to the honour roll so the person knows you have donated.
  • You must accept the terms and conditions before the transaction will be completed. Do not press the "back" key, or your transaction will be submitted and processed twice.
  • Donations of $25 or more will automatically receive a tax receipt by email. Tax receipts for smaller amounts may be requested by emailing questions@hairmassacure.com

To donate to the event:

  • Donations made on this page will support Hair Massacure and its charities, but will not be credited to a particular participant.
  • Choose Donate Now
  • Click the picture of Kali (the event's inspiration) on the right. Donations here will support our charities in Kali's name.
  • Fill out the necessary fields. Please do not use symbols (like the dollar sign). You must accept the terms and conditions before the transaction will be completed. Do not press the "back" key, or your transaction will be submitted and processed twice.

To pledge to a team:

  • This option is especially useful for teachers, coaches, and co-workers who know multiple people on a team.
  • Choose Donate Now, then Pledge a Participant.
  • Find the team you would like to join in the list. Once found, click the team name.
  • Choose Donate to the Team
  • Fill out the necessary fields. Please do not use symbols (like the dollar sign). Remember to add a message to the honour roll.

REFUNDS

Please be very careful when entering your pledge amount. Refunds are possible, but an administrative fee will apply. The fee will be based on the amount of the original donation, and will be deducted at the time of the refund. This fee is charged in order to cover our costs, as every lost dollar impacts our charities.

TAX RECEIPT HELP
